I’m the photographer behind Wild Things Photography, and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s this:
I love photographing families who are having fun together.
Not the perfectly posed kind of fun.
The real kind.
The kind where kids are laughing, running around, telling jokes, dancing to music, or even melting down a little because the day has been long.
Because that’s real life — and those are the moments you’ll want to remember someday.
Hi, I'm Melissa
Just in case you’re curious about the person behind the camera…
• I can solve a Rubik’s Cube (which tends to impress kids during sessions).
• I play the guitar… kind of. Enough to have fun with it anyway.
• I spend a lot of time at the hockey rink cheering on my kids.
• I love being outside in the mountains, parks, and lakes around Wyoming.
• I believe the best photos happen when families are relaxed, laughing, and just being themselves.
These days, I’m usually somewhere between the mountains, the park, or the hockey rink.
I have kids in sports, which means early mornings, busy schedules, and a lot of time cheering from the sidelines.
I understand the chaos.
I understand trying to get kids ready while juggling practices, school, and life.
And I understand how quickly these seasons of life pass.
That’s why I love capturing families who are living right in the middle of it.

We offer high-quality print products to make sure your memories don't die on a hard drive somewhere or get lost in the cloud.
if your kid decides they’re not in the mood for photos that day?
That’s okay too.
I’ve got kids. I get it.
We roll with it and keep things fun.
So your family can interact naturally. That’s how we capture the genuine moments — the laughter, the connection, and the personalities that make your family unique.
Your kids won’t stay this age forever.
But the laughter, the chaos, and the memories can.
Let’s capture them.
